Site History, Glitches and Site Enhancements

This page is where current issues with the site can be listed, and if possible, a time frame provided for solutions to the issues in question.

Build Wiki site history

This wiki site went live 04 December 2009. Progress on the entire Flying Breadbin project can be found at the Breadbin blogsite. It tracks progress from October 2008 to the current date. This wiki site is also a place of learning for me. I fully expect I will crash it, tear it down, reconfigure it and tweak its functionality until it is able to effectively accomplish what it is I need it to do.

If you are experiencing an issue that isn't listed below, please report it to the site administrator, Norman Smit. Remove the NO SPAM text if you click on that link. If I am able to do anything about it, I will (remember, while I know lots about how to make wikis work, I'm not a code expert).

Current issues

• MailerContrib has been updated but I am still unable to point the Cron Daemon at the correct folder to find the MailNotification tool to get it all to work properly. I'm steadily working my way Cron Daemon settings. I can live with this because of the RSS and if someone who is a cron daemon expert volunteers, I'll take them up on it, but I won't be wasting more time on this otherwise.

Resolved issues and site enhancements

• Have added the Add This button to the Wiki home page, this page, the Changes page and to the new pages template so all future new pages will have the Add This button automatically added and also to the page changes page.
• Added the RSS Feed plugin so even though I have still not yet resolved the Site Notifications issue, it is possible to get an email notification about site changes.
• The site remains closed and it is impossible to self register. I have written up a protocol to individually register new users after forgetting how to do so and grappling with new registrations. It works fine, now.
• 06 May 2010 - I am getting notifications from the wiki now, but they are log errors. This is a step in the right direction, because previously my site wasn't connecting with mail out.
• 12 Jan 2010 - Build hours in the SmitSTOLBuildLog has been updated to a table that does time calculations.
• 26 December 2009: Site migration from eNom completed to Godaddy. For more, click here (Missed my self-imposed deadline by a day.)
• 26 December 2009: Email functionality restored. (Actually it had been partially functional, but I didn't want to create any expectations.) For more about this, click here.
• 17 January 2010: The WYSIWYG text editor plugin is now working in Firefox. I have not yet tried it in IE, but if it is less than stellar, I'll put up a site disclaimer.
• 17 January 2010: The picture plugin is working, too. I need to play with it a little more to get used to its capabilities, but it is now possible to manipulate a picture in the page editor.
• 18 January 2010: ImagePlugin has been installed. For more information on how to use it, see ImagePluginDefaults. This provides additional image functionality to the image button on the WYSIWYG toolbar.
