Hybrid studs

WilliamWynne sells hybrid studs that thread into the Corvair CrankFlange and allows the PropHub to be mounted on a threaded crank, simplifying the installation. The term hybrid refers to the studs having a different thread at each end of the stud. The 11/32"-24 flange thread is one used in the Corvair by General Motors; the other end of the stud uses an aviation standard 3/8"-24. WW heat treats the studs to match AN bolts. The six studs and nuts weigh 13.5 ounces and come in one length only that works with hand prop applications and front and rear starter engines. He provides instructions on how to cut them to the appropriate length as well as how to install them. Instructions on his website must be read in conjunction with the his manual. They cost $79 (price as of July 2011.)
